EASTERN CAPE EMERGING LIVESTOCK FARMERS INVITED TO NERPO'S PROVINCIAL AGM 14 Sep 2009

NERPO Eastern Cape will be holding its annual Congress at the Nqadu Great Place, Willowvale on 17 – 18 September 2009.
The Congress allows the emerging livestock farmers to come together and discuss their keys concerns within the industry and thence task their organisation to see to it that these matters are addressed. It is also a platform through which NERPO members interact with representatives of key partners and stakeholders, such as the Department of Agriculture, Land Affairs and Rural Development, local economic development, traditional authorities, input suppliers and livestock and red meat traders.
The theme of this years’ Congress is Driving rural development through the red meat industry.’ Invited guests include the Premier of Eastern Cape, Ms N Kiviet; the MEC for Agriculture, Land Affairs and Rural Development, Mr M Sogani , the national Minister of Rural Development and Land Reform, Mr G. Nkwinti and Chairperson of the Eastern Cape House of Traditional Leaders Chief MJL Mathanzima.
During the Congress issues such as Stock Theft, Farmer Support, and Land Reform will be discussed.
“We wish to invite all emerging livestock farmers of the Eastern Cape Province to come in big numbers and attend this very important conference.
