NERPO/UYF HOST THE 4TH EDITION OF THE YAEDP GRADUATION

The National Emergent Red Meat Producers Organisation (NERPO) in conjunction with Umsobomvu Youth Fund (UYF) take great pride in its commitment to empower unemployed agricultural youth who have in turn played a meaningful role in the transformation and development of the agribusiness sector.
Since its inception in 2003, the programme has successfully produced 224 graduates who are now placed in the agricultural sector (public and private) as farm managers, agricultural extension officers and agribusiness specialists.
At this 4th Graduation Ceremony, NERPO is proud to announce that out of 73 unemployed youth who participated in the 2008/09 programme, 56 will be capped with Service SETA’s accredited Certificates of Competency after successfully completing a 12 months agribusiness entrepreneurial development programme while the remaining 17 will be receiving certificates of attendance from NERPO.
The successful candidates have been acquainted with entrepreneurial skills, the spirit of patriotism and nation-building as well the right attitude and mentality required for starting and running a successful agribusiness enterprise. Experts in various fields of agriculture, renowned business leaders as well as life coaches were on numerous occasions called in to equip these young entrepreneurs.
Against this background, the Group Managing Director of NERPO, Mr. Aggrey Mahanjana in conjunction with the Acting Chief Executive Officer of the newly inaugurated National Youth Development Agency Mr. Malose Kekana, have great pleasure in inviting you, the media, to this august ceremony, to be held as follows:
