NERPO SUPPORTS FREE STATE PROVINCIAL GOVERNMENT ADMINISTRATION
23 Jul 2009

In its endeavour to reach out to all the emerging livestock farmers in the provinces and in its continued support for the Provincial Government, the National Emergent Red Meat Producers Organisation (NERPO) will be hosting its 2nd Provincial Annual General Meeting (AGM) in the Free State, following a successful Provincial AGM held in Limpopo recently. This two day meeting will be held at the Fairview Conferencing and Lodging in Bloemfontein, on the 13 & 14 August this year.

“These Provincial AGMs have, in the main, afforded NERPO an opportunity to engage and encourage the emerging livestock farmers to support and participate in realizing the vision of the new provincial government administration” said Aggrey Mahanjana, NERPO Group Managing Director.

The key participants at this two day red meat industry information session will be, amongst others, the Honourable Premier of the Province, Mr. Ace Magashule; Ms Mamiki Qhabathe, the MEC for Agriculture and Dr. Langelihle Simela, NERPO’s Programme Manager for Farmer Support and Youth Development. Dr Simela will outline all the programmes and services provided by NERPO to the emerging livestock farmers of South Africa.

During the AGM, issues such as Stock Theft, Farmer Support, and Land Reform will be highlighted.

“We wish to invite all emerging livestock farmers of the Free State province to come in big numbers and attend this very important conference. These kinds of platforms are one in a million and emerging farmers must take advantage of them” Mahanjana concluded.

For more information on registration for the Provincial AGM, farmers are requested to contact Ms Lizzy Modiba @ +27 (0) 12 472 0005 or +27 (0) 12 348 8566
