The National Emergent Red Meat Producers Organisation (NERPO) will host its 10th year Anniversary Celebrations and Annual General Meeting at the CSIR from 17th -19th September 2007, exactly at the same day and venue at which the organization was founded and launched 10 years ago.
Key to this momentous event will be the opening address by His Excellency King of Amarharhabe, King Sandile at 09h00 on Tuesday the 18th September and the climax of the event will be at the Gala Dinner on Tuesday 18th September 2007 where the Honourable Minister of Agriculture and Land Affairs, Ms Lulu Xingwana will deliver a message of support. Other key speakers from the agricultural industry who are drawn from within South Africa and abroad are reflected in the programme attached herewith.
This historic event will amongst other things presents NERPO with an opportunity to showcase its success story in maximizing economic participation of the emerging livestock farmers within the red meat industry and highlight fundamental challenges that still stifles the fulfillment of its noble vision, of creating successful commercial livestock farmers from its predominantly black and historically disadvantaged farmers.
NERPO is a mouthpiece of more than 40 000 emerging livestock farmers.
